Anyone can call themselves a tutor. These are the checks that sit between an application and your child.
Every application is reviewed by hand. 42 of our last 150 were declined — and only one is still awaiting a decision.
Each profile shows one of three things: verified by us, meaning we have seen the certificate, on file, meaning provided but not yet checked, or not provided. We never claim it for all of them.
Sessions run in our own video room and messages go through us, so there is a record. Attempts to move a student to a private number or app are blocked automatically.
A session is never recorded unless consent has been given, and a named safeguarding lead is responsible for concerns raised. That is Archie, the founder.

Some tutors can record a session so your child can rewatch it for revision. Recordings only ever happen with your explicit permission, both people see a clear "recording" indicator throughout, and either side can decline at any time. Recordings are stored securely and deleted after a set period.

Your sessions, subjects, credentials and any feedback parents have written are yours. Download them whenever you like — no notice, no asking us — and for 12 months after you leave.
The file is signed, so anyone you show it to can confirm it came from us and has not been altered, without contacting us. Parents' names are shortened to a first name and their contact details are never included.
Set when you're contactable. Messages outside your hours are still saved instantly — we just hold the email until your next window, so you're not pinged at all hours. Urgent same-day changes always come straight through.
One-tap answers to common questions — insert them into any chat from the ⚡ button in the composer.
Adds a six-digit code from an authenticator app on top of your password. It means someone who gets hold of your password still cannot read your students’ messages or details. Use any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or the one built into your phone.
