Question of the week

One GCSE question, once a week

Try a short multiple-choice question, then reveal the answer and a quick explanation. Past questions are kept below.

How to use it

Read the question, choose an answer, then reveal the answer. If you were unsure, say why before you read the explanation: was it the content, or the wording? Spend a couple of minutes on it, then go back to your normal revision.

Each question is original and written for GCSE level. Exam boards word questions differently, so treat these as a warm-up rather than a past paper. For real papers, see the past papers tool, and to plan your week use the revision timetable.
