Know where your marks stand

Two calculators for university work. Plain arithmetic on your own numbers. Your entries stay on this device.

An estimate only. Your university's own rules decide your result, including how marks are rounded and combined.

How to use this

For a weighted average, enter each module with its credits and mark; use Add a module for more rows and Remove to drop one. Your average updates as you type.

For the mark you need in the final, enter your overall aim, your coursework weighting and your coursework mark. Both answers are arithmetic on your numbers, nothing more.

Calculator 1

Weighted average of your modules

ModuleCreditsMark %Remove

Weighted average, 120 credits

66.5%

Each mark multiplied by its credits, added up, then divided by the total credits.

Weights that do not add up are fine: this tool divides by the credits you enter. Marks above 100 are not accepted, and a row with either field empty is left out.

Calculator 2

Mark needed in the final

Check your module handbook. Whatever is left over is the final, shown below the answer.

Mark needed in the final

67%

Aim minus coursework share, divided by the final's share.

If the answer is over 100%

We say plainly that the aim is not reachable with this weighting, and suggest checking the numbers. No encouragement, no prediction.
